STUDIO 1912 / CMS GUIDE

CMS Guide

Everything on the site that repeats — events, people and films — lives in the CMS. Each entry fills a card in a list, drives a page of its own, and feeds anywhere else that content appears. Edit it once and all of those update.

Editing content

Each collection works the same way: open it in the CMS panel, pick an entry, and edit the fields on the right. Add entries with the + button, drag to reorder, and use the ⋯ menu to duplicate or delete. Image fields open a picker where you can upload a new file or reuse an existing one.

One thing to remember: edits save as you make them, but they are not live on the site until you publish. If a change looks like it has not worked, that is almost always why.

  1. Open the project in Framer. The CMS panel is in the left sidebar.

  2. Pick a collection — Events, People or Student Work.

  3. Click an entry to open it, then edit the fields on the right.

  4. Add entries with the + button. Drag them in the list to reorder, or duplicate and delete from the ⋯ menu.

  5. For image fields, click the field and either upload a new file or pick an existing one.

  6. Hit Publish when you are done.

Good to know

  • URLs come from the Title (or Name for people). Framer fills this in automatically when you create an entry. Changing it later changes the page’s web address, so it is best to leave it alone once something has been shared.

  • Upload the largest image you have. Framer stores it once and serves the right size to each visitor, so there is no need to shrink anything first.

  • Landscape images suit events and films; portrait images suit people.

  • Rich text fields (All Info, More Info, Biography) accept headings, bullet lists, links and inline images.

  • The event video plays automatically, muted and on a loop — it behaves like a moving background rather than a player.

  • In Gallery Photos, the order of the rows is the order of the carousel. Drag them to rearrange.
